Questions & Answers

Q: Why is a Service Agreement Plan important?

A: Having a service plan offers peace of mind and helps to save money. A typical heating system is a complicated piece of technology that includes many parts, some costing hundreds of dollars to replace. During the coldest times in the winter, your heating system can run virtually 24 hours a day 7 days a week. With our service plans you can be covered by one of the best and comprehensive service plans in the industry. Depending on the plan you choose, it can significantly reduce the cost of repairing your heating system. All of our agreements include 24-hour Emergency Service availability and priority service.

Q: Are all service plans the same?

A: No, just as all home energy companies are not the same. At Taylor Energy, keeping you safe and comfortable is our main responsibility. Our service vans are stocked with thousands of dollars of parts so we can fix most problems right on the spot. All services are performed by our highly trained service technicians.

Q: How does a Service Agreement Plan save me money?

A: Every heating system should be tuned annually. A properly maintained system could use significantly less fuel, save money, lasts longer and breaks down less frequently. It’s also an opportunity for our technicians to find small problems before they become big ones. All of our plans include the cost of a yearly tune-up.

Q: Which plan is right for me?

A: It depends on the level of coverage you are comfortable with. Our Standard Agreement is great for some folks who don’t expect to have many service calls throughout the heating or cooling season. If you have frequent “no heat” calls, especially after hours, the Premium Agreement is probably a better fit given the additional savings. We also offer an Oil Fired water Heater Plan and Oil Tank Replacement Coverage. If you are not sure which plan is best for you, just call us and we will be happy to assist you

Q: What happens if I don’t have a Service Agreement?

A: Labor for service and parts would be billed on a time and material basis without any discounts. Additionally, we cannot guarantee availability for non-service Agreement customers despite our best efforts, especially emergency service availability. Our regular business hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Any heating or hot water services performed outside normal business hours will be billed at overtime rates without any discounts available..

Q: What about my air conditioning?

A; Central air conditioners, just like heating systems, need to be tuned on a regular basis to maintain high efficiency and reduce electric costs. Our technicians are trained on all brands of cooling systems. Give us a call to schedule an annual tune-up and inspection of your unit(s). Contact our service department for rates.
